Shannon Muir’s Take on the Animation World

Shannon Muir's credits include being a Production Coordinator on such animated series as INVADER ZIM, EXTREME GHOSTBUSTERS, and MAKE WAY FOR NODDY (the half-hour version as aired on PBS including all interstitals of SAY IT WITH NODDY); she's also written animated scripts for the Japanese series MIDNIGHT HORROR SCHOOL, columns on non-artist positions in the animation industry for DIGITAL MEDIA FX and SUITE 101, and has written books on animation such as GARDNER'S GUIDE TO WRITING AND PRODUCING ANIMATION (2007) and the masters thesis GETTING THE ANIMATED MESSAGE (2005). In addition, Shannon co-writes the long running webcomic FLYING GLORY AND THE HOUNDS OF GLORY with Kevin Paul Shaw Broden. She currently works freelance as Resource Manager for the virtual world and casual gaming site Neopets. Other past animation related employment includes Project Management Coordinator of Animation World Network. She is a member of Women in Animation, ASIFA-Hollywood, and the Writers Guild of America, west Animation Writers Caucus.
