Article on Breaking into the Animation Writing Market for WOW! - Women on Writing

Auto Date Friday, April 11th, 2008

An article I wrote early this year about Breaking into the Animation Writing Market (focused on writing for current series versus developing a series or producing yourself) is now available at WOW! - Women on Writing, an online magazine dedicated to women writers and editors from all disciplines.

People have asked how they can order GARDNER’S GUIDE TO WRITING AND PRODUCING ANIMATION.  Major online retailers have it, as does anyone who can get it from Ingram (last I heard).  But also if you have a favorite bookstore who deals directly with this distributor that is the primary handler of all titles by the Garth Gardner Company (GGC, Inc) that’s even better.

Big busy things going on…

Auto Date Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

First off, the book is holding relatively strong on the Amazon charts for Direction and Production.  It’s moved down a few spots to 67 of 91, but I’m impressed it is there at all, not to mention that it’s beating over 20 books in the category.

Haven’t been around much because I’ve been part of the team shepherding AWN’s Media Center at media.awn.com.  The bigger draw right now, is AWN teaming up with fxguide to bring unprecedented coverage of SIGGRAPH via Netcast twice daily and I’m part of the behind the scenes team making sure this gets to you.  That’s not all though, you’ll also find lots of other videos to check out submitted from around the globe.

Later!

Finally Working On Making Myself at Home

Auto Date Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

I just threw together moving in the boxes and haven’t really had any time to clean up yet, so please bear with me.

My hope is to use this blog to talk about my take on animated movies I’ve seen and tales from the trenches, bringing the best of the topics discussed on my Livejournal and TV.com blogs and more.

For more on my credits, see the box to the right.
